Say My Name - Briella Welch
Briella Grace Welch, 12 years old, was diagnosed with DIPG on November 12, 2022, and lived life big for 12 weeks before she went to be with Jesus on February 6, 2023. Briella loved Jesus, her family, gymnastics and art. Briella was gold level gymnast as her determina- tion allowed her to skip from bronze level to gold level. Briella knew she was a child of God and this compelled her love of giving to others. She was always looking for opportunities to show those around her that she was thinking of them with handmade gifts, artwork and cards of encouragement.
Briella liked to spread joy through her sense of humor and her art. Her favorite verse-1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you” truly was how Briella lived especially after she was diagnosed.
To keep Briella’s giving going the hashtag #givelove- likebriella was created so others can share how they are giving love in Briella’s memory. Briella Grace moved mountains in her life, and her story will inspire many more. The Briella’s Story Foundation was created to carry on Briella’s story and passion for Jesus, gymnastics, and art.
