Description
Chocolate Covered Strawberries is a favorite dessert around here! This coffee is all the things you would ever hope it to be. The strawberry comes in so clear and refreshing. I do believe that this will be a cold brew favorite for a long time to come. The hot brew was a hit for sure.
This coffee was created in loving memory of Madeline Remy:
Madeline was born on April 3, 2009. She loved life and was always on the move. She sought ways to fill her days with experiences and creativity. An early talker, she would wake up every morning and ask, “What are we doing today?”
Madeline loved outdoor activities like swimming, riding bikes, scootering, and shooting off model rockets with her dad. Equally, she enjoyed indoor pursuits such as painting, drawing, reading, building Lego kits, and making rubber band bracelets—all of which she shared with her younger sister, who she always referred to as her best friend.
Madeline often had a Lego project in progress. She won a significant Lego competition with her NASA Apollo Saturn V year, she would excitedly share details about her projects. Madeline had a confident and direct way of speaking her mind, but she also had a heart full of love. Madeline wholeheartedly expressed her love with frequent, sincere “I love you's.” She was a hugger at her core with genuine hugs that made everyone feel special. She cherished cuddle time, especially with her Dad—she was definitely Daddy’s girl! She had room in her heart for everyone.
Madeline was a thriving, healthy, and happy eight-year-old with a bright future ahead of her until everything changed in an instant on August 16, 2017. That day, we learned that Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) existed, and that our beloved Madeline had it. She fought it hard, though after a 535-day battle with DIPG, Madeline passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 2, 2019. She was just four weeks shy of her tenth birthday.
Her story lives on as one of strength, beauty, courage, heart, nerve, and fight.
