Reese Blankenship
Reese is the story that movies are made of. Her story is one of unbelievable hardship Reese was 16 months old when she was a victim of severe child abuse. Her sight, ability to walk and talk where taken from her. She was rescued from that life! Reese was adopted by the Blankenship family. They chose her, they loved her. For the first time in Reese’s life she knew what it was to be loved, wanted, and cherished. Reese was adopted as their own. The Blankenships gave Reese a family that had no boundaries or limits to the love that healed her heart .The adption gave her all the love and support she could absorb.
Reese was amazing, strong, beautiful and despite all the hardships she endured in her life, she was filled with Joy. She showed everyone how to love the simple things and find healing to move beyond her previous circumstance.
At the age of 3 the Blankenship’s noticed that she was holding her head a lot and her gait was a bit off. After further testing their worst fears came to life. Reese was diagnosed with DIPG. Reese fought hard. Reese was amazingly strong and will forever be a fighter. It was just in her to fight for life. We are honored to share her with you. She is an excuse buster, life lifter, encourager, and an example of overcoming the impossible.
