David Jr. is forever 9. He loved adventures. He was a typical child and played many sports including jujitsu until he was diagnosed with DIPG at age 6. Despite being diagnosed with an incurable pediatric brain tumor he lived his best life.
He loved roller coasters, collecting seashells at the beach, building sand castles, traveling to new places, national parks, creating art, Pokémon, Lego, and Power Rangers. He was a Cub Scout.
He taught others how to live with his catch phrase “Make Every Day The Best Day Ever”. David Jr endured many treatments over the 3 years, 1 month and 4 days he lived with cancer. He participated in a trial, completed five separate courses of radiation therapy, surgeries, oral and IV chemotherapy.
He went from being a typical child to being a wheelchair user and losing many abilities including talking, walking and swallowing. Through all of this he persevered and chose to make every day the best day ever. Celebrate David Jr’s passion for life and remember him when you make every day the best day ever.
