🎗️Say My Name - Michael Mosier 🎗️
Michael Mosier was filled with spirit, energy, kindness, and humor. Michael loved sports – especially baseball – and was an eager student with a sharp and inquisitive mind. He made friends easily and had a broad smile that would light up a room. He loved the color yellow.
A week after Michael’s 6th birthday, just after he started kindergarten, he was diagnosed with DIPG, the deadliest form of childhood brain cancer. DIPG very quickly left Michael partially paralyzed and stole his ability to walk.
Rather than complain about the devastating toll of the disease, and the difficult treatments he endured, Michael focused on the things he COULD accomplish. Each morning, he would write a to-do list with his dad, and he would not go to bed at night until it was finished.
We lost our amazing little boy on May 17, 2015, and our lives will never be the same. We long for him every single day. We wish he was growing up with his little sister, Lila, who he adored. We ache when thinking of all he went through.
Michael has inspired us to carry on the fight to Defeat DIPG. We established Michael Mosier Defeat DIPG Foundation in June 2015, and in early 2021 we merged with The ChadTough Foundation to create our unified nonprofit ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation.
