There is so much to say about this beautiful coffee. First, the flavor is sincerely something to look forward to. I'd like to share a little about this coffee and why it needs to be available as often as we can get it. Tanzanian coffee is pretty much always associated with peaberry coffee beans, that is true. As always, our coffee producer has gone out of their way to find the best. Tanzanian Peaberry is something that everyone should try at least once.
Our coffee is grown on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. The region is filled with quaint small mountainside farms at elevations of between 4,500 and 6000 feet. Peaberries are considered by some to be superior in quality and taste from regular flat beans. The reasons are usually two-fold: The single bean contains all the flavor intensity of two beans, the round shape of the bean results in a more even roast. The second part is believed to be all about the rigorous sorting process. Attention to detail has made a difference here!
About the Flavor
Tanzanian peaberry coffee is known for its brightness and high acidity. The coffee is medium-bodied and best at the medium roast. Along with a rich, chocolate flavor, Tanzanian peaberry also has hints of dark fruits like black currant, and a soft, sweet finish.
