Tyler Brett Rodden's Trust the Science Tumbler

This Tumbler has been created in memory of Tyler Rodden.  This design is etched to a powder coat tumbler.  

Say My Name - Tyler Brett Rodden

Tyler Rodden was the kindest person you could ever meet. When he was a small child people would constantly comment on how sweet he was. He loved so deeply that I used to tell him he had a super power of extreme compassion and I always encouraged him to lean in to this whenever he didn’t know what to do. This compassion was rooted in a deep love of the planet. People and animals. In particular, he loved dogs and every year he would make handicrafts to help pay for the medical expenses for a rescue dog. He was also always trying to save the planet and he won an award at UC Davis, in the school of engineering for his idea for using clean energy turbines in homes to help power them. Tyler loved the arctic and chose to spend his make a wish trip with his family in the place he loved most, Alaska. We have built this box to honor these combined loves and in remembrance of this beautiful family trip we had to Alaska.

In January of 2023 Tyler was diagnosed with a diffuse midline glioma. He was strong and courageous through his fight against cancer. He knew that this cancer did not have good outcomes but he believed so much in the magic of science , that it would advance and save him. This resolve and deep trust was noticed by his medical team who expressed that it had renewed their resolve to defeat this awful cancer. But that was just like Tyler. He changed every person he met. I continued to be stopped by people who only met him once with stories of how they knew immediately he was special.
